Focus Awards

Asian College of Teachers (ACT) has the approval as a Focus Awards Centre for RQF provision and is authorised to deliver a range of qualification(s) as an approved centre of Focus Awards Regulated by Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) since 2011.
Asian College of Teachers (ACT) has collaborated with Ofqual Regulated Awarding Organisation, Focus Awards, to help meet the needs of its learners in an efficient manner. Focus Awards offers over 200 qualifications, spanning across 11 sectors.


The awarding organization, Focus Awards provides help to their approved centres in the two key areas:

  • Develop qualifications in a wide range of subject matter areas and commercial sectors. These qualifications appear on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and are nationally recognised.
  • Quality assure a centre’s own non-regulated qualifications. This can be useful to endorse such offerings as short courses and CPD. Their Focus on Quality Provision (FQP) Scheme allows centres the freedom to develop them.

As a Focus Awards Approved Centre, ACT can fully meet the specific needs and requirements of its learners, by offering both nationally recognised qualifications and endorsed CPD or specialist short courses.

Ofqual regulated Focus Awards claims to be innovative, progressive, and customer- focused.

The awarding organization commits to provide its collective expertise and business acumen to help centres like ACT to provide the skills and training required or its learners. They are able to provide ACT with original, high quality resources and materials. The materials have been written to a very high standard and closely reflect those produced commercially for similar subject areas in the regulated sector.

Focus Awards also endorses non-regulated qualifications that meet the needs and requirements of learners.

After the approved centre’s application, the awarding body reviews its management systems and internal quality assurance arrangements to ensure that the centre has robust systems in place to develop its own qualifications and materials, together with appropriately qualified staff to assess and quality assure your provision.

By endorsing non-regulated qualifications for the Approved Centres, Focus Awards help learners choose products and learning providers that have been through a rigorous quality control process. The certification learners receive on successful completion helps them gain a sense of achievement and reassurance that their hard work is worthwhile and valued.

On successful completion of an FQP endorsed non-regulated qualification, learners are awarded a Certificate of Achievement that evidences and demonstrates they have achieved a qualification that requires dedication, hard work, and subject matter knowledge.
